Nov 03, 2009 · Are you sure the marking is 929. I ask because 925 is the standard mark on silver meaning something is sterling silver. 925 means it is 92.5% silver and 7.5% another metal. Pure silver is too soft to use for making jewelry so sterling silver is usually used.
