May 12, 2012 · 950 = the purity/fineness or .950 or 950/1000 pure. It could also be said to be "95% palladium" It's possible that the "PD" is a maker's mark, especially on older rings. If there's no other metal identifier then it's likely not. But, it's usually marked as "950 Pd" so what you describe is a touch suspect.
