I recommend Windex, but only the Windex with vinegar, not ammonia (ammonia can dull silver if used continuously). I also recommend rinsing jewelry with distilled water afterwards if it’s going to come in contact with skin. “Green” products are also fine as long as they don’t leave a film. Aug 24, 2007 · But I think it is odd that happened, too. I do know that you''re not supposed to use ammonia on wg, so perhaps Windex has ammonia in it. I use the jewelry cleaner that comes in a little jar, but some people use Mr Clean without ammonia mixed with water.
