I recommend Windex, but only the Windex with vinegar, not ammonia (ammonia can dull silver if used continuously). I also recommend rinsing jewelry with distilled water afterwards if it’s going to come in contact with skin. “Green” products are also fine as long as they don’t leave a film. Nov 22, 2017 · Assuming your ring is either just platinum, gold or silver and ONLY has diamonds, you can use Windex to clean it. Just put the ring in a small bowl and spray enough Windex to make sure the ring is coated, turning the ring over if necessary. Then use a soft toothbrush to remove the dirt, and the Windex will happily lift it out nicely.

Aug 24, 2007 · I do know that you''re not supposed to use ammonia on wg, so perhaps Windex has ammonia in it. I use the jewelry cleaner that comes in a little jar, but some people use Mr Clean without ammonia mixed with water.
