I did not see anyone else respond to this, but using efferdent to clean jewelry must be done with caution. I repaired a ring (several times over the course of years) that had been cleaned in efferdent and the customer let it soak overnight. The efferdent attacked the gold, especially the solder joints, and turned it into swiss cheese!
