I had a great experience with Lapis Jewelry! My boyfriend had bought me a ring while we were there. It's a woven ring with onyx stones. I got back home and wore it for the first time only to find that by the end of the day, some of the stones had fallen out. Needless to say I was disappointed so I emailed Lapis and told them what had happened.

I have three pieces of jewerly from them. We first went to Lapis on a tour through our resort EDSS. My husband actually purchased a ring from Lapis for our 20th anniversary, they delivered it to our resort, when it did arrive we had a problem with the stone and they happily took care of it.

My boyfriend and I went to Lapis as a way to get from our hotel Secrets Silversands, to Playa del Carmen without having to pay for a taxi. It was explained to us that the Lapis Jewelry Factory offered free shuttle service to the city, the only catch was that you had to spend about 30 minutes in the factory viewing their products.

There sold us a ring they said was 18 ct gold and high quality craftsmanship for $4000.00 US. STAY AWAY...This place is the biggest rip off in all of the Riviera Maya. It look like a factory when you walk in . but when you enter the luxury back of the factory its like a Fifth Avenue store. The only difference on Fifth Avenue you are dealing with legit people. The hawkers here that speak in some strange language not Spanish
