Lewis Lomay (Lomayseva) (1913-1996) learned to make silver jewelry from Ambrose Roanhorse at the Indian School in Santa Fe around 1930. He had to quit school during the Depression and went to work in Frank Patania’s silver shop in Santa Fe. He smithed there for 13 years, but then worked in construction.
